After everyone has had a disruptive few years, we decided that our next picture competition should be one to showcase (and freely promote) the many and varied businesses which operate under thatched roofs.

Our “Thatched Business Picture Competition” is now launched (September 2022) and we look forward to receiving some wonderful photos and pictures as entries.
After the success of our Chocolate Box Thatch Picture Competition and associated gallery, it made sense to give everyone the opportunity to reveal even more great pictures, this time of Thatched Businesses. Everyone knows this covers a wide range of premises and categories. Pubs, Hotels, B&Bs, Holiday Homes, Restaurants and many more varied enterprises and establishments.
The rules are similar to previous competitions. Please see below for details.
Entering the Competition
Entering is simple. All you need to do is:
Email (claire@thatchadvicecentre.co.uk) with up to 5 of your lovely Thatched Business pictures. Please remember to include your contact details. (see below)
Promoting Thatched Business
We love thatch and, just like our previous competitions, we will do a useful gallery of all the various entries (credited to you). So, if you are the business owner, or a customer, or a passer-by, get sending in pics. Competition is open to anyone.
Any entries will be copyrighted by us and credited to you, if you wish, and if used by us eg. On Social Media it is a great opportunity for free promotion.
Benefits of Entry
The winner will receive a £20 gift voucher and also entries will be showcased on the gallery. All businesses may also get further promotion on our Social Media and in our Newsletter.

Rules
This Thatch Advice Centre Picture Competition is called ‘Thatched Business Picture Competition’
The Entries
A maximum of five pictures can be entered via email to claire@thatchadvicecentre.co.uk
Each entry should include your name, address, postcode and contact telephone number. Information on the Thatched Business the picture relates to is optional. Only entries received by email (along with entrant name, address, postcode and telephone number) will be valid.
All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrant must be the sole owner of copyright in all photographs entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured. Further, entrants must not have breached any laws when taking any photographs.
Closing Date and Judging
Midnight on 1st September 2023 is the closing date.
An independent judge, will choose the winner, from all valid entries.
The Thatch Advice Centre may use the pictures and them be subject to Thatch Advice Centre © copyright, but will be credited to the entrant unless requested otherwise.
Entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these rules, by entering the competition.
And Finally
The Thatch Advice Centre reserves the right to cancel this competition or alter any of the rules at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
If the winner of the Thatch Advice Centre “Thatched Business Picture Competition” winner is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made, we reserve the right to offer the prize to another entrant.
