The Friends of Robert Burns birthplace museum are reinstating the Burns Supper being held at Burns Cottage. This was first known to be held in remembrance of him in 1801 by 9 of his friends and was a tradition which continued until 1809.
Ticket numbers are limited to 24 and are available at a cost of £250 each for the Burns supper to be held on 25th January 2018 but you have a chance to win 2 tickets by entering their raffle and become part of Burns Cottage history.
Raffle tickets are £5 each and the draw will be held on 30th November so get donating for your chance to win.
It is an opportunity to have your names becoming part of the history of Burns Cottage. The names of the nine gentlemen who attended the 1801 Supper and the names of all who attend the 2018 Supper will appear on the programme, a copy of which will be retained at the Museum to become part of the history of Burns Cottage.
Donate £5 or more and put your email address in the message box to be emailed your raffle tickets – see the link at the bottom of the friends webpage
The fundraising will be used for restoration of the Burns Monument in Alloway and then for assisting in the re-thatching of Burns Cottage.
Good luck all who enter.
