Many associations have umbrella organisations. The British Reed Growers Association is, understandably, based in Norfolk where our UK Reed Cutting is most prevalent. We are pleased to associate with them as local, sustainable and low carbon footprint is enviromentally friendly and the direction everyone is striving for, even with their roofs.
“The British Reed Growers Association represents reed growers from all parts of England, Scotland and Wales. We maintain close links with the thatching trade, environmental groups, government agencies and local authorities with the aim of promoting this important rural industry and maintaining our stake in the world market.
The Association will lobby over important issues to protect its members’ interests and co-ordinate research projects.”
