Always remember to: |

| Check the electric wiring
Fit a liner and sweep the chimney regularly
Do not use spark arrestors
Fit smoke alarms and test regularly
Have fire extinguishers available both powder and water
Avoid having BBQs, bonfires and fireworks close to the property
Have an outside water tap with hose
Know where your nearest fire hydrant is
Make sure the chimney height (including the pot) is a minimum of 1.8M above the ridge
Get specialist advice before fitting stoves. |
