Firefighters are blaming the complete destruction of
a thatched property in Devon on local children recklessly and illegally
playing with fireworks.
Cdr Andy Newland from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue
said: "We saw the total loss of a home because of a group of
thoughtless young people."
The thatched cottage in Halberton burned down on Saturday night and eight fire crews tackled the blaze.
Youngsters were spotted letting off fireworks.
